So fresh and so clean

March 30, 2017

Helloooo spring!  While others are cleaning out their garage I'm doing a spring clean on my website... It's all brand new! 2017 is off to an amazing start and is going to be a big year for Flashpool Productions.  My partner and I purchased a home in October of 2016 and I'm so excited to announce that I now have my very own studio pool!  Game changer!

The Austin area is not by any means lacking in pools or natural waters, but with my own space I am now able to assure a comfortable, personal and controlled experience for each of my clients. There are many elements to consider when preparing for an underwater photo shoot, including lighting, water quality and clarity, depth, the finish of the pool, and the list goes on.  With a controlled space, I can guarantee that we'll get the shots, every time!

I know this because I've been heating the pool for the last month and collaborating with some amazing local talent to really explore every element this new pool environment has to offer.  The results have been outstanding!  Towards sundown the trees filter the light into glorious rays making for an ethereal look.  The rounded edges of the pool allow for photos with the illusion of no borders.  And the light, fresh blue finish of the pool allows for a neutral background complementing skin tones and bright colors.

Also, one of the best things about having a studio means being able to offer fun events like holiday mini sessions and group photo shoots.  Make sure you sign up for my newsletter to be in the know on these things!  Just go to the home page and scroll to the bottom.

Enjoy a few of these photos from this past month and stay tuned for a wide variety of underwater imagery to come out of the rest of the year! The best way to follow along is to join me on Instagram and Facebook!
