Underwater Portrait Sessions are fun and relaxed. If your child has a breath-hold of a minimum of 3 seconds, we pretty much guarantee we will get wonderful photos that you will love!

Making Magic Under the Surface: What to Expect
Get ready to dive into a holiday experience like no other! Our underwater Santa sessions are designed to be fun and full of festive wonder. Here is a look at how we capture the magic:
Quick & Joyful Submersions: Each session lasts approximately 10 minutes—the perfect amount of time to capture a variety of shots
Santa & Solo Portraits: Each session includes multiple submersions to capture the perfect pose with Santa. We also offer solo portraits during your time slot, or you can choose to skip the Santa photos entirely for a more classic underwater look.
MAKE IT FESTIVE
Choose from our collection of holiday-themed props or bring your own! You may even consider alternatives to everyday swimwear. We’ve seen matching pajamas, holiday-themed swimsuits, even sweaters underwater.

Your $139 session fee includes $45 in purchase credit toward prints and/or digital images.
ONLINE GALLERY OF PROOFS
We retouch 10-12 of their best photos and then share them with you in a private, password-protected gallery.
Purchase prints, products, and digital downloads directly from your gallery. Use your $45 credit towards your purchase!
CAN I SIGN UP SIBLINGS IN ONE SESSION?
YES! Sign up 2-3 kids in one session, and we will take photos of them individually and will do our best to capture a few of them together.
Register them for back-to-back sessions if you would like them to each receive 10-12 photos. If you have more than two kids, we recommend signing up for two back-to-back sessions

Hello! My name is Sarah, and I’m from Austin, Texas. I’ve been working with swim schools around the world since I started my business 15 years ago. I LOVE working with kids, and my superpower is getting them excited about having their photo taken underwater!
I only visit swim schools once per year, so be sure to catch me while I’m in your city. I can’t wait to meet you!

Goggles are optional and sometimes preferred! While often parents prefer their child to go without, in some cases, it’s better to use them – seeing their eyes through a clear lens is often better than them looking squinty-eyed and uncomfortable. We bring goggles to have on hand but bring your own if you think you might need them. Some kids are quite particular about their eyewear!

Yes! Parents are welcome and encouraged to join in too.

A minimum breath hold of 3 seconds is enough time for us to get great photos.

Sessions are 5-7 minutes long. Some children require a little bit more time than others. Our priority is working with them until we have enough good images to provide a full gallery.

Our approach is very calm and gentle an we do everything we can to make sure the child is comfortable and having fun. If for some reason the child is having a difficult time, we may decide it’s best to give them a short break and move on to the next session. We will come back to them when they are ready.

Yes! We have a ton of experience photographing babies underwater. If your baby is doing submersions in class and is able to be underwater for 2-3 seconds, we will be able to get photos of them.
We recommend being prepared to get in the water with your baby if necessary. Sometimes they want to have a parent nearby. We can also do a “pass” from instructor to parent which is a helpful method for getting good photos.

Yes! In fact, we prefer if you are next to the pool to cheer on your child and provide support as needed.
OUR GIVE–BACK POLICY
3% of your session fee is donated to the Hope Floats Foundation. If your school is a partner of Hope Floats, then the funds will go directly into their bucket. You also have the opportunity to make an additional donation when registering for a session.
Hope Floats partners with high-quality swim schools to provide scholarships for swimming lessons for children living in poverty. Hope Floats raises money by partnering with individuals, businesses, and foundations that want to be a force for good in their communities. Scholarships and tuition assistance is provided to children who might not otherwise be able to afford swim lessons.
