This is For:
Parents who want to freeze-frame the magic of their kids just being kids this summer.
Twenty minutes is the sweet spotβit gives your children plenty of time to play, explore, and shake off any camera shyness. Our main focus is capturing beautiful individual portraits, playful candid moments, and those sweet, sibling interactions.
Parents: This is all about the kids, but you're welcome to join the fun! Hop in for a few family shots, or just sit back and watch them shine.
Note: This session includes up to 3 children. For families with 4 or more kids, please book two back-to-back sessions so everyone gets plenty of time in front of the camera!

FAQs
Will my child be safe and comfortable?
Yes. Sessions are playful, calm, and fully supported. Parents are welcome poolside, goggles are allowed, and your child only needs a short 2 to 3 second submersion for baby sessions or about a 3-second breath hold for older children. If your child needs a break, we slow down.

We encourage cute swimwear for these sessionsβbright colors are especially fun and look amazing underwater!
Mermaid tails are also a wonderful option for a magical touch. To ensure everyone stays safe and we make the most of our time together getting great photos, please make sure your child has practiced swimming in the tail first to get the hang of it.
Make it festive β Choose from our collection of holiday-themed props or bring your own! You may even consider alternatives to everyday swimwear. Weβve seen matching pajamas, holiday-themed swimsuits, even sweaters underwater.

Goggles are optional and sometimes preferred! While often parents prefer their child to go without, in some cases, itβs better to use them β seeing their eyes through a clear lens is often better than them looking squinty-eyed and uncomfortable. We bring goggles to have on hand but bring your own if you think you might need them. Some kids are quite particular about their eyewear!

Yes! Parents are welcome and encouraged to join in too.

A minimum breath hold of 3 seconds is enough time for us to get great photos.

Our approach is very calm and gentle, and we do everything we can to make sure the child is comfortable and having fun. If for some reason the child is having a difficult time, we may decide itβs best to give them a short break and move on to the next session. We will come back to them when they are ready.

Absolutely! I have extensive experience capturing beautiful underwater moments with infants. If your baby is already practicing submersions in swim class and can comfortably submerge for 2β3 seconds, I can capture great photos of them.
I recommend being prepared to get in the water with your baby if needed. Having a parent close by provides extra comfort and helps them feel secure.
Parent & Baby Poses: If you do submerge with your little one, don't worry about what to do! I have several classic poses specifically for parents and babies underwater. Iβll guide you every step of the way to ensure great photos.
The "Pass" Method: We often use a technique where the instructor gently passes your baby underwater to you. This is a smooth way to capture those natural expressions.

Yes! In fact, we prefer if you are next to the pool to cheer on your child and provide support as needed.
Meet the Owner & Photographer
Hello! My name is Sarah and Iβm from Austin, Texas. Iβve been working with swim schools around the world since I started my business 15 years ago. I LOVE working with kids and my super power is getting them excited to have their photo taken underwater!
I only visit swim schools once per year so be sure to catch me while Iβm in your city. I canβt wait to meet you!
OUR GIVEβBACK POLICY
3% of your session fee is donated to the Hope Floats Foundation. If your school is a partner of Hope Floats, then the funds will go directly into their bucket. You also have the opportunity to make an additional donation when registering for a session.
Hope Floats partners with high-quality swim schools to provide scholarships for swimming lessons for children living in poverty. Hope Floats raises money by partnering with individuals, businesses, and foundations that want to be a force for good in their communities. Scholarships and tuition assistance is provided to children who might not otherwise be able to afford swim lessons.
Capture a side of their childhood you rarely get to see. This summer, weβre turning underwater play into stunning, professional portraits that belong on your walls, not your phone.
